Kayak rental for cruise ship passengers

by Connie

Hello,
I will be arriving Bora Bora by Princess cruise ship in the Fall. I would like to go to Matira beach and also rent a kayak. Are kayaks available for rental for cruise ship passengers or only hotel guests?
Thank you!
Connie

Bora Bora Island Guide's Response
Hi Connie,
Kayak rental can be found near Matira beach. It is easy to get there from the Cruise ship. The tenders drop you off where there will be taxis and buses offering trips to Matira Beach for $5 each way. Matira beach is the main public beach on the island.

When you get of the tender, there will be excursion stalls set up offering all kinds of activities. You may be able to arrange kayak hire through one of the excursion providers there.

The kayaks at the resorts are available to their guests only. It is not possible to rent them from the resorts.

I would recommend reading our favorite way to spend a day on the Bora Bora lagoon before you go.

Have a wonderful time in Paradise!
