Winter Bora Bora Weather

There is less chance of rain but winter Bora Bora weather is tropical so sometimes there are sun-showers, in the morning or evening. Usually these are brief, and disappear as quickly as they come. Most rain occurs overnight during winter in Bora Bora

As there is less rain, the underwater visibility can be best for scuba diving  in Bora Bora at this time of year.

August is the driest month and on average it has the most sunny days and the least humidity. During the winter months you can see for miles on a clear day! The south-eastern trade winds blow during winter, this cools everything down, including the lagoon. You don't need winter clothes but bring a jacket to throw over in the evening, if the winds pick up. For more on what to take to Bora Bora see this page.
